Lymm Jubilee Gardening Club


Thank you for visiting our site, we hope you find it helpful and look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings.

We are a friendly group with a common interest in gardening. We meet each month and our talks are varied with a wide range of excellent speakers, on all aspects of gardening.

We have a sales table which sells various gardening sundries and often plants. As well as speakers we also have trips and visits to gardens through the summer months, a large plant sale for charity, a 'Strawberry Evening' and an annual meal.

    'Don't go to Sleep during Winter'

    Kevin's talk covers winter plant colour, what you can be doing in winter and where to visit to see colour. He includes advice, plants and preparation.
    Kevin has been a garden speaker for over thirty five years giving almost 50 talks a year to gardening clubs in the UK. He gave 5 days of lectures for the R.H.S. Tatton Flower Show 2017 and again in 2018.
    He was Self employed a hands on gardener for 30 years.
    He has two RHS GOLD medals, floral marquee 2004, 2006 and a Gold medal at Southport show 2008.
    He is highly qualified in Horticulture with subjects studied, Soil science, Botany and Horticulture. He has written many articles and has a hard back book “The gardeners guide to Fritillaries.”
    He has held two national collections in the past, Fritillaria and Eucomis.
    He sells over 1000 plants from his plant nursery, all in his 30ft x 30ft back garden.
    At his talks he always bring rare plants for sale, these are propagated in his small nursery 'Village Plants Nursery' where he sells some really unusual hardy plants that have been grown here in the North West U.K.
